WE CHALLENGE YOU!

The University of Iowa Veterans Association presents the UIVA Warrior Challenge and 5k run/walk to benefit the Iowa City Military Affairs Association and the University of Iowa Veterans Association.​Participants can enter either the 5k Run/Walk or you can sign up for the Warrior Challenge! This event is open to the public.

The Warrior Challenge
The U.I.V.A. (University of Iowa Veterans Association) is proud to present the 2nd Annual Warrior Challenge. The Warrior Challenge is a 4 event series race where teams compete in a

1.Tire Flip
2.Obstacle Course
3.5k Ruck Run
4.Mystery event (to be revealed on race day).

Proceeds from the event go to benefit the UIVA and the Johnson County Military Affairs Association. MORE INFORMATION

Race day registration on March 29th, 2013 will be for the 5k run/Walk only From 8am-10:30am

Accommodations

The Sheraton Iowa City Hotel is the official hotel of the UIVA Warrior Challenge & 5k. The Sheraton is offering participants a discounted rate for the weekend of the race until February 27th, 2014. To book your room today you can Book Online or call the Sheraton at 1-800-848-1335.

The University of Iowa Veterans Association (UIVA) is a group of veterans and supporters
interested in helping veterans and returning reservists at The University of Iowa adjust to and integrate into University life. Additionally, the group aims to support persons still serving as well as their families, and to raise awareness among fellow students of the daily sacrifices made on their behalf.

Our purpose is to increase public awareness and understanding of the need for national defense preparedness through recognition of the accomplishments and contribution of local veterans, National Guard and reserve units, Reserve Officers Training Corps and acitve military members. Meetings are held at the National Guard Readiness Center
